CAROLINA TREET - SPANISH RICE

This is my brother's favorite recipe.
1/4 cup Carolina Treet Barbecue Sauce
1 lb. ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
3/4 cup uncooked rice
Salt and Pepper
1/4 pound bacon
1 small green pepper, chopped
3 cups tomato juice

Preheat oven to 350. Fry bacon slowly in heavy skillet until crisp, remove and reserve. Chop onion and green pepper and saute in bacon grease until browned. Add beef and cook 5 minutes. Add rice, 2 cups tomato juice and Carolina Treet Barbecue Sauce. Break bacon into small bits and add to mixture. Turn into buttered casserole dish and bake for one hour, adding more tomato juice if necessary for the right consistency.
